Newton Fellowes, fourth earl of Portsmouth (1772-1854)
Originally Wallop, the son of the second earl (d. 1812); educated at Eton, he was a Whig
MP for Andover (1802-20) and North Devon (1832-37). He succeeded his mentally deficient
brother in 1853.
