Richard Edgcumbe, second earl of Mount Edgcumbe (1764-1839)
The son of the first earl, he was educated at Christ Church, Oxford and was Tory MP for
Fowey (1786-95); he wrote Musical Reminiscences of an Old Amateur;
chiefly respecting the Italian Opera in England (1825).
