Terrick Hamilton (1781-1876)
The son of Venerable Anthony Hamilton; he was a translator and Oriental Secretary to the
British Embassy at Constantinople. He published Antar: a Bedoueen
Romance (1819). Charles Macfarlane described him as “a considerable scholar,
and the greatest bore then in existence.”
