The daughter of Thomas Hawkins of Nash Court, in Kent; in 1788 she married Henry Francis Roper, afterwards fourteenth baron Teynham. She bore sixteen sons and daughters, among them the Caroline mentioned in Cyrus Redding's Recollections.
