The eldest daughter of Charles Spencer, third duke of Marlborough; an artist and lady of the bedchamber to Queen Charlotte (1762-68), she was married in 1757 to Frederick St John, second Viscount Bolingbroke, and following an adulterous relationship, in 1768 to Topham Beauclerk.
