Henry Thomas Colebrooke (1765-1837)

The son of Sir George Colebrooke, second baronet. In the service of the East India Company from 1782 he became a Hindu scholar and professor at Fort William; upon his return to London in 1814 he was director of the Royal Asiatic Society.
